Description
The marine gearbox boasts a range of functions, including reversing, clutching, decelerating, and enduring propeller thrust. Paired with the main engine, it forms a robust marine power unit, ensuring reliable power output for various shipping needs.
The gearbox design accounts for diverse installation scenarios, offering both elastic and rigid support options. For special cases where the engine is mounted on elastic support and the gearbox on rigid support, our technical department can assist in selecting a suitable high-elasticity coupling for seamless operation.

The marine gearbox has various functions including reversing, clutching, decelerating, and withstanding the thrust of the propeller. It is matched with the main engine to form a marine power unit.
The “transmission capacity” mentioned in the manual refers to the ratio of the engine’s continuous power to its rated speed. The deceleration ratio and transmission capacity have a corresponding relationship.
The selection should be made while considering a value that is less than the one stated in the manual.
Rigid connections are not permissible in the gearbox and engine shaft system. It is recommended to use brackets for mounting on the same rigid support. If the engine is installed on an elastic support while the gearbox is mounted on a rigid support, you should contact the company’s technical department to select a suitable highly elastic coupling.
Please note that some of the hosts listed are for reference only, as they may not be applicable for a certain reduction ratio.
The weight mentioned is approximate and may vary depending on the reduction ratio.
After a certain period of time, the gearbox may undergo improvements to varying degrees, subject to the technical parameters provided at the time of contract signing.
